Frequently Asked Questions

Who comes to therapy?

Everyone and anyone! We can all benefit from therapy, whether there is a particular time in your life you are struggling through, a specific issue you need guidance on, you are experiencing communication trouble in your relationship or family, you have existential questions to talk through or if you just need a friendly person to listen. This is your time, with no interruptions. You are safe to say what you feel, without judgement. And we will work together to alleviate any stress and grow your inner strength.

What can I expect in our first therapy session?

In our first session, I will review the forms you completed beforehand, which include your rights to confidentiality and my practice policies. This will also be a time for me to learn more about your history, gather further information on your presenting issue and for us to collaborate on your desired goals. Most importantly, this is a chance for us to get to know one another in a relaxed and warm environment.

What are your fees?

My normal fee is $150 for individual therapy, $175 for couples or family therapy, and pre-reserved extended sessions (an additional 20 minutes) are $200.

I do offer a select number of sliding scale slots for clients who are experiencing hardship. This amount will be agreed upon before our first session.

Group therapy is also available. Participation is $50 per session. Sessions usually meet between 50 to 70 minutes every week or every other week. Please see the "Groups Available" page for further information.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently am out-of-network for insurance plans. I can provide a superbill if you wish to submit for reimbursement through your coverage. I will be accepting a limited number of insurance plans in the near future.
